I flew Chipmunks in the ATC too. I used to fly flexwing microlights about 15 years ago. They're loads of fun. I've even flown backwards in one (work it out). Think shopping trolley attached to a kite with a big fan strapped on the back. I'll pick it up again some day and might even get my licence this time before another redundancy hits me.

Microlights are really getting popular with only 10 hours of training before you can be pilot in charge. Personally I don't think thats enough. There'll be shit-loads of drones sold over Xmas as well, you watch how many flying objects controllers will have to manage soon.
