I’ve been attacked by a wing of 5 for 1 (one!) ton of gravel that was left after a visit to an engineer.

AI’s in Elite are just as stupid as they come!

Re: Saitek X56

Since i don’t want to be without a controller for weeks, I’ve started using the pedals of my Thrusmaster T500RS for the yaw. Will take a bit to get used to, but then, I’ll be able to definitively get rid of saitek’s shits.

Re: Saitek X56

It’s not the throttle that fails, then. It’s the buttons, hats and pots that are on it.

Re: Saitek X56

The main problem with the X-55 (and probably the X-56) is the wiring inside the throttle. The wires always bend and unbend at the same exact place when you move the throttle, so after some time they break due to metal fatigue. Use it a few hours every day, and they’ll break before it’s out of warran...

And i’m sure it’s a hardware problem, because i also tested it on a Mac with Joystick Show, a program that detects and displays all the axis and...

It’s one of the good things with the Corvette: it never happens. :)

Re: Saitek X56

Yeah, I know this is how it should be done (and is done IRL), but i don’t want to be stuck in a given sitting position.

Re: Saitek X56

Another problem with mine (which i set up this evening) is the stick sticking: when I want to roll left or right, there’s always a step i have to force through before the stick moves, like the cup at the bottom of it stuck on the base. I tried the weakest spring and that helped a bit, but not comple...
