Re: Frontier Expo 2017

....The company and the large quantities of booze doesn't hurt. It's surprisingly how easy you can get along with people when a conversation starts with "Hey, I like spaceships." "Me too, let's have a beer". lol I think I'd prefer to just pop along to something someone in Mobius...

Re: Frontier Expo 2017

Just took a look thinking I might go after all - all sold out. A very good thing as I might have spent my money on enjoyment rather than a new bathroom cabinet, a tree surgeon, a new driveway, new trellis, and all the other stuff the missus wants sorted. I think they said it will be screened, but th...

Re: EDTracker Pro Wireless reviewed.

SWEET!! I have one of the original wired ED Trackers and its frankly brilliant but I look like a Rastafarian Lighthouse with the blinking light on top and the cables hanging down. I might just invest in this and do away with the PCB in a Tic Tac box :)

Re: Good space Science fiction books?

I can highly recommend "Ready Player One" as a book to read. If you grew up in the 80's you'll love it.

Best to read it before the film comes out and ruins it for all time.

Might be gone for a few months :(

So for the past week my Virgin Media broadband has been slow as an old dog, to such a degree that I have mostly been saying "sod it" and switching the PC off. Tonight I had the same problem so called Virgin Support to be told that there is a large ongoing problem in my area (Area 31) which...

Re: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Migrants and Refugees

There is a link here if it's alright if I post it on this forum... Yes I have used it a number of times myself. Its not immediately clear when you go to the site how to donate. To the right of the header is a link called "GET INVOLVED", click that, then you have a number of options from s...

Re: ED Books ...

Hmm...I bought one a while ago and didn't like it. Can't remember its name right now but I've read a LOT of books in my 50 years and I would swear this author hadn't written a thing in his life before. It may be sacrilege to say so, but I thought it was tripe. Something to do with some kid being bor...
