it's hard to triangulate with only one (moving) satellite :) That said, once the planet is scanned, we should be able to save ground landmarks, or have some kind of navigation system. Likewise for detailed surface scans... what's detailed if it can't locate a 3km wide thargoid site that pukes signal...

i don't think you can mark planetary coordinates yet. that feature has been requested for a while but still not there :/

what i do is zero in on one coordinate, and keep it steady while orbiting... then i just wait for the second to go to where i want and i drop in just a bit before reaching said coordinate.

You do not bolt the hotas to the mount? Even with the foam pads, it looks like it would move all over the place, like when playing on a desk. Ok that all makes sense , thanks guys. The Mil Grade Reinforcement was mainly as a backup to give me more time to bug out if the shields broke. as for GTFO on a small ship, you really want to be fast rather than tough. Experience has proved that you are never strong enough to survive hits when bail...
