Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

I've been checking out 2.2, and so far, it looks pretty good. I haven't noticed many glitches/bugs. But I wonder about the cost of ship transfers. Cost of moving a Federal cutter <20 ly: 500,000. Cost of moving a Python from Azrael to Shinrarta Dezhra: 7,000,000. Cost of moving an Asp explorer from ...

If ship transfer is to be, I much prefer option #2. A bit of forethought and planning is one of the things that makes the game interesting to me.

Thanks Cometborne, good information to have! I decided to go back out there anyway. Serendipitously, Jacques station was looking for exploration data, so it worked out well.

I went from Azrael to Jacques Station and back. Picked up 30m cr from the round trip, the lion's share of it coming from the neutron starfields which abound in local space around the Station. Forgot to wait around to complete the CG. Oops! I guess I should look at that as motivation to go back out. ...

I much appreciate the advice and information received: so much so that I now keep a pen, paper, and roll of tape near at hand to 'amend' erroneous assertions regarding cargo legality, local popularity, etc. Thanks, Tor!

Ah, it all makes sense now. It's like the difference between a misdemeanor and and a felony, right? One is an infraction and not serious. The other is a criminal act, and is a bigger deal. After taking an unforeseen break for several months, I've gotten back into the game, and I'm glad to say that the changes in the game are pretty amazingly good... but there's been a fair few changes, and they've left a paper trail of broken methodology and no-longer-true rules...

I agree with CMDR Falcon_d. It's a great idea, but it all depends on whether Mobius agrees.

Hmmm now I'm intrigued. Might get some first discoveries off this trip. FWIW - Getting first discoveries is a lot easier if you avoid well traveled paths (nebulas, black holes -- esp. Sagittarius A *) that run along the galactic plane. Dropping above or below the plane by a few hundred light years ...
