Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

So what is the best way to get merits solo these days? Before 1.5 I just spent a couple hours a day raking them in at Crime Sweeps and could get the entire 10k for rank 5 in a week. It seems that isn't the case anymore at 10 merits per kill these days.

Can't find OoM CZ today. They are all Exioce Democrats vs. Exioce Imperial Society...even the CZ's that are right next to each other. Anyone else having this problem?

So I've found a happy medium in between the overweight build I was using and one with SCBs. It turns out I was just too heavy before and couldn't maneuver well enough. Coming back after 1.5/2.0 updates and can't seem to find any joy in combat. I used to use SCBs but can't now due to the overheating.
