Re: Asp Explorer Build for Exploration Help

Keep in mind a AFMU cannot repair itself so having 2 can save your bacon if you get into trouble. You can synthesis AFMU ammo so you'll never run out unless you managed to lose both your SRVs so going with 2 smaller AFMU's is fine. Build One is the one I'd go with. It's very similar to the one I wen...

Re: Custom Desk Mounted HOTAS Clamp Stands (Cheap Man's MonsterTech Stands)

I've made some minor improvements to the setup. I went and got some sticky backed foam from a hobby shop to better protect my desk surface. I also got some cable clamps to keep the USB cables tucked away nicely and I hot glued a powered USB 3.0 hub below my desk so I can now plug in the HOTAS withou...

Re: Custom Desk Mounted HOTAS Clamp Stands (Cheap Man's MonsterTech Stands)

Kin ell......... At that price I think I would shop abroad...Like HK etc......... Even if inferior quality...... You can certainly buy cheaper clamps but these are the top quality ones you can get. Self adjusting, plenty of clamping pressure. Worth it IMO, especially since I saved money on ...

Re: Custom Desk Mounted HOTAS Clamp Stands (Cheap Man's MonsterTech Stands)

Problem, is with desktop level HOTAS, is it's just far to high to be comfortable, so just the increase in comfort and flexibility from getting it low cannot be over emphasised. In fact once you try something like the warthog or my CH fighter stick, it's no longer to big but perfect since your aren'...

Custom Desk Mounted HOTAS Clamp Stands (Cheap Man's MonsterTech Stands)

So I wasn't happy with just having my HOTAS setting on my desk. As a quick fix a couple months ago I just got some drawer rollers and made to slid out platforms on my desk to set them on. This worked alright but it had many issues and I wasn't a big fan of it. http://i.imgur.com/Xj76P7P.jpg I've alw...

Re: 1440p Monitor Selection

Yeah, Gsync on is one of the main reasons I'm buying a new monitor, so ULMB will be disabled. Have you tried running Gsync with vsync turned off and if so, how was it? I'd read that you can disable vsync with gsync on now. I run GSync with VSync off all the time. It's a 144 Hz monitor so you very r...

Re: 1440p Monitor Selection

I don't think you can control the backlight on this monitor.

You can do the normal stuff. Brightness, contrast, color values, etc...

It does support the ULMB which does something to the backlight but I never use it because you can't use G-Sync with it enabled.
