Re: RE: Re: ED Toolbox

I tried this out, and it is quite good. My main issue is that it does not tell you that it is installing a neutered version of the Apache webserver and a version of the MYSQL server to allow it to work its magic. I understand why it does, but I am not happy that it does so without telling you. My r...

Would be great if when multicrew comes they make it so your SRV is a sort of escape pod that can be picked up by other ships allowing you to have the option to survive your ship destruction and carry on on board anothers ship.

In the brig, yes.

Re: Any miners? Or future miners?

Mining with with a Python. 1 prospector (up to 4 active limpets), 3 collectors (9 limpets), 10 bin refinery, 128t cargo, hold loaded initially with 128 limpets. Managed 8 million over 2.5 hours, plus time picking up mining missions to sell the painite, platinum and osmium at premium (always pick up ...

Re: RE: Re: Any miners? Or future miners?

Also when a bin hits 100% of say gold and your bay is full, you then jettison say 1 ton of indite and the refinery bin will instantly empty into the cargo bay filling it up again and your collectors won't be able to bring them back as they don't fit anymore. Isn't it the case that the collector lim...

Re: RE: Re: An apology, I think.

As long as people stay on the green side, it shouldn't really matter how you fly, but people keep going straight down the throat. The only problems I've had, other than being surprised, is when someone doesn't stick to their side of the slot. And yet I still read people saying that the red and gree...

I had 3 collectors, shooting 9 limpets on my python miner build. Hard to keep those fed.

Think you need at least 300 m/s now and that's probably scraping it.

Re: Need help and tips for smuggling

I parked my python and built an ASP for shadow smuggling missions. No weapons, decent shield, fastest thrusters and boost and largest jump range possible with 128t if cargo. Basically I just used boost to avoid scans. Boost out of stations, boost into them, boost away from interdiction and boost awa...

Re: [1.5] An HRP epiphany?

Nothing wrong in having a dimensionless quantity (i.e. just a number) to express the relative strength of armour. The Rockwell scale, for example, would provide a way to compare hardness using a simple number derived from a standard test. If you wanted to get absolute about it, I imagine you'd need ...
