Re: Halfway Halfassed Tour: Organizing and Logistics.

I've decided not to participate after all. The thing that attracted me to this was doing it as a group, as we seem to have gone from 23 interested people to about 3 it's not the same any more. Good luck to those who choose to go ahead an fly safe o7.

Re: Halfway Halfassed Tour: Organizing and Logistics.

I'm still interested. I haven't been playing for the past few weeks, it's just not fun with the interdictions the way they are currently, so I'm not checking forums and such very frequently. It'll take me a few days to get things set up, I've installed Discord but need to set up mic levels and such,...

Re: Looking for Mining Ship

The biggest trading ship you can afford is generally the best, although I'd avoid the T9 at the moment due to NPC interdictions. 2 medium mining lasers, 4A refinery, 2 limpet controllers and the rest cargo space (plus shields of course). The longer you can stay out and the more you can mine before h...

Re: Patch 2.1.03 incoming

Confirmation that NPC spawns are based on combat rank. This is a terrible mechanic in my opinion, even if I was as good as my combat rank indicates, which I'm certainly not, my ability to fight off NPCs varies dramatically depending on what ship I'm in. If I'm in my Vulture then I can deal (somewhat...

Re: Looking for the new Robigo

I personally think any one that used the robigo exploit should have their earnings removed. That's rather extreme. Okay, re-logging over and over to refresh the missions and stack lots of high value ones is on the borderline of exploit territory. I don't think just going there and picking up whatev...

Re: Halfway Halfassed Tour: Organizing and Logistics.

Any updates on a starting date for this? Engineers is too grindy to hold my attention and repeated NPC interdiction and beatings is making leaving the bubble look more and more appealing.

Scan detected

Bit of a noob question from someone who should know better having being playing for months but... When I select a CMDR ship and it starts auto-scanning to give me basic information like their name, wanted status etc. Does that trigger the "Scan Detected" notification for them, or is it onl...

Re: Exploring easier after 2.1?

The problem is that shooting and ramming are the only forms of interaction the game has with NPCs. I'd love it if FD would take advantage of some of the advances in chatbot technology and allow us to have "conversations" with NPCs, but at the moment laser comms is what we have.

Changing some numbers in a database is much easier than fixing actual bugs and changing algorithms. I just hope they are actually working on the other stuff.
