Re: RE: Re: What is it That Makes Exploration so Interesting?...

As a scientist I can totally appreciate the joy of a good spreadsheet and nice graphs ; ) you should totally graph these data in interesting ways! See if there's a pattern in there somewhere ; ) Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk So on my last mission I encountered 1379 planets and moons and 227 s...

Re: RE: Re: What is it That Makes Exploration so Interesting?...

It is one of those times my OCD kicks in. I have to record what I have found in a spreadsheet and make sure I have scanned EVERY object (except asteroid belts). Even if I jump into a system and it is an icecube system (only ice planets) I still have to scan each of them. To not to rubs my mind the ...

Re: What is it That Makes Exploration so Interesting?...

When I was exploring to tag things, I didn't enjoy it much at all. It was mildly cool to know that I was the first person to go somewhere, but it ran out rather quickly. When I was exploring to see notable landmarks though, I had a good time. I went to the Pleiades then swung around to the Witch Hea...

Re: Galaxy Map Search

Ah, glad this is a known bug, I thought I noticed this too but assumed I'd just written the system down wrong when I discovered it!

Re: Double scanning planets?

I had this happen to me a few times when I went out to the Pleiades a few days ago. It seemed like lag to me because I was also stalling a bit when I jumped into a new system, like it took 5-10 seconds for any scanner to work

Re: CGs and Rank Progression

As far as I know the Elite Trader rank requires 1 billion in profits : ( that's what the wiki says anyway. It's going to take me a loooooong time

Re: 15% discount on Ships and modules

I don't think it makes sense that passives will require a pledge - then it would just be a bonus on rank 1 rather than a passive. It's like what that faction is doing with their space, not a way they reward people. Arissa, for example, increases system security and removes black markets as a passive...

Re: Don't over upgrade!

Smartroad, you can try powering down unused systems while you scoop. Your ship runs colder if less things are on - try scooping with only your frame shift, scoop, thrusters and life support on : ) also the closer to A you get with your power plant the better it cools you, so you can check if a lower...

Re: The Vulture loadout Thread: Plasma, Beam, Cannon, Shield Boosters ...

Here's my setup: http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=60N,4zh4zh3we,306Q7_6Q507_6a5A,7T24-E7dq10i0nE If you turn the cargo hatch, frameshift drive, fuel scoop and docking computer off you'll end up 0.03 MW below your max power output so everything runs fine. If you upgrade the life support to A and have it...
