Around the mobius objectives chances are good that you'll meet another CMDR. You can try Azrael System and it's surroundings, I've yet seen a few players there. Otherwise to contact s.o. specific I'd try discord.

I went from Sidewinder -> Eagle -> Viper IV -> Python

Cobra has a very good reputation. ASP Explorer is (as the name says) a good exploring ship.

Just my 2 cents: I see the grindwall in ED as some kind of barricade. Since release I've always wanted to become a bounty hunter, but the payouts (hunting with sidewinder/eagle) were so small, I could not afford the time amount needed to "get somewhere" with that. So I've ended up farming ...
