Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

I just bought the game a couple days ago and I am still in awe of it all. I just ordered a HOTAS. I am already getting used to the mouse/keyboard controls and I can't wait to relearn every thing. I discovered this group when it was mentioned offhandedly in a random youtube video I was watching and although I haven't been attacked by griefers yet, I would like to avoid it so I figured I would join in with all of you. My main goal with the game is to get to exploring around the Milky Way and discover what there is out there not yet discovered. Do any of you have any bits of advice for low budget early game exploration ship loadouts?

I have already filled out the form and requested to join the America group. How long does it usually take for a request to get accepted?

I've also heard about this Road to Riches exploration route that's supposed to be very lucrative for new players. Is something like that recommended or would I enjoy the game more just going in blind?

It usually takes 2-3 days to get a private group join request processed. The PG admins are busy guys.

The Road to Riches is a good way to make some easy and risk free cash and I recommend doing it at least 10-15 systems at a time. (that'll get you about $10mil or so) It's going to be easier if you have a class A frame shift drive and be sure to add a large fuel scoop.

Oh one more thing, sorry to bother you. I keep seeing some people in videos using voice commands for things like landing gear, taking screenshots, and jumping between systems. How to I configure something like that?

They're probably running Voice Attack. I've never used it myself, so I can' t offer any input on it.

Do a google search, you'll find lots of info on it
