Cmdr BetaPersei here!
I am a fairly experienced player, I have reached Elite in Exploring, Entrepreneur in Trading, and I'm a Competent fighter. I decided to try Mobius after hearing about it on the Frontier forums. I've only been killed by other players a handful of times in Open, once was totally legit, I was transporting an illegal passenger.
I accept the risk of playing in Open but recently got destroyed approaching an Engineer base by a guy who was just waiting to pick off random visitors. The only reason I was a little miffed was that I had finally gathered resources for my next Anaconda upgrade. I shrugged it off, payed my rebuy (at a discount because of the other player's high notoriety), and carried on. But it made me go back to Solo for exploration just to avoid losing all my valuable exploration data to a random player.
When I saw a post about Mobius on the official forums I thought I'd give it a try, the idea of a friendly community appeals to me. I'd like to participate in community goals and see what that's like as well, and help newbies learn the ropes and become as obsessed with the game as I am. I figured a dedicated community like this would share my passion for the game and provide a place to immerse myself in all things Elite.
