After being ambushed for the second time I decided to join a group of people who just want to play their way. Hi to all!

I applied for the American group, should I have done factions instead.

I've got 600hrs game time, so I'm up to speed on mechanics. Just tired of paying 24 mil for rebut. Last guy got me while I was in a big pve fight and my shield were down. Chased me through 2 low wakes.

The America's group is the right place for you (assuming you are on that part of Sol)

The Factions PG is used for supporters of our player factions, OoM and MCRN, when they want to wing up with other faction supporters.
