Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hello everyone,

I immediately joined this group as soon as I heard there is a big PvE Group out here! Been already ganked once in Deciat, and man that is not fun. So here I am. I will be exploring and trading mostly, though I do want to have three elite ranks to my name eventually.

I joined Factions because it said it was dedicated to exploring in the sign-up form, without quite understanding what that entails.

And another question, regarding the policy: The line about being allied to a different power, what does it mean exactly? Is this about the power play game mechanic?

The Factions private group is focused on Mobius players who support our player factions (Order of Mobius and Mobius Colonial Republic Navy) and is used by explorers as well as a "time zone free" PG to play in.

The different power comment is, as you suspected, aimed toward Power Play participants. Whether or not you are, and plan to be, involved in Power Play has no bearing on your Mobius membership.

The learning curve in E-D is pretty darn steep, so be sure to ask a lot of questions. We're here to help!

I do use power play right now, since one of my goals is getting a permit for Sol I aligned myself with Zachary Hudson and the Federation. You say this has no bearing on Mobius, but what does the Allies line mean then?

Edit: I get it now, it was with regards to shooting other players
