Hi All,
Having been in Mobius groups (PVE and now Eurasia) for a little while I recently discovered this forum and thought I'd say hi!
Original Elite player on ZX Spectrum in 80's and Frontier Elite II on Amiga later on.
To my eternal shame I missed the whole kickstarter thing and although I became aware of ED soon afterwards it wasn't until my periodic PC upgrade came round that I had a machine capable of running it, around this time last year. Bought a copy and started playing in January 3303 so almost a year now. I only ever played in solo until I discovered Mobius, my instincts told me what open would be like without even trying it
Real Life interdictions permitting, I play often in the afternoons (UK time), sometimes managing a couple of hours a day.
Spend a lot of time on CGs and have tried the various "grinds" for rank etc. in Quince and Ceos/Sothis.
Recently acquired an Anaconda having been through various ships in the game and working my way towards the Imperial and Fed ranks required for the big ships. I still keep going back to my trusty Asp Explorer "Tauriel" as it just seems to be the best allrounder in the game right now, and the jump range after Engineering is great.
Yet to meet a Thargoid! At the moment I'm doing Passenger missions grinding Modular Terminals for Qwent around Sirius.
Please feel free to add me in game (PC). I've yet to try Winging up with anyone and although I've reached "Dangerous" in combat I don't favour that side of the game highly (which is why I never play in Open!!). Have had some combat fun in RES zones in a Vulture in the past, but noticed that with increasing skill rating comes far more difficult enemies, so I've held back on that a bit now.
