I wonder what Kharma is doing on this delightful Sunday I hear you all say......

Literally watching fecking paint dry......

A rather shite spray job.....Could really do with a few more coats...But I'm getting impatient.......

Besides *Cough* it's only there for protection......Not for looking good.....

My story and I'm sticking to it...... :)

Soooo whilst watching paint dry.......I decided to start on the wiring......Just prepping a few things....

So I started slinging the bits in that I have......

I do not like it at all.......

If the button layout proves to be OK after testing I think the next one will have a laser cut acrylic front panel......

A company who does this is relocating about 10 mins away from me.....

They're not set up yet...But could come in handy....Depending on cost.....

Hurry up Hong Kong.......

Time for an update.....

Buttons from Hong Kong are still not here...So decided to use the 2 x 16mm buttons I had for now.....

Wiring was a bit of a mare....

► Show Spoiler

And this is how it stands at the moment.....

► Show Spoiler

A couple of empty holes and no LED's wired up.....

I then reconfigured all my buttons and macros in Xpadder and HIDmacros......

And it was off to try Beta.........

Spent a few hours and most of last night testing and altering stuff........

But nope I cannot get any planetary based macros (Transfer cargo/Dismiss and recall ship/Board etc) to work....

This is because of the changes in the role panel......And no matter what I tried I could not get it to work.....

Bit of a bummer.......And I'm a bit pissed off.....Seeing as it was mainly designed and built for macros.....

I'll just have to use the HOTAS to control planetary actions.....

So I have cleared the macro settings and temp reconfigured the buttons for something else......

I will continue testing and update when I get the new buttons......

Cheers Xe......

Not as good as I would have liked it......

I will definitely get a quote for a laser cut acrylic front panel.....When that company opens near me.....

Once that is FD stop fucking with the controls.....

They will rethink a lot of it.

And it's not like you won't need buttons, there are now 7 new command bindings or so for the fighters (you might just have to upgrade to an anaconda old chap)
and there lots of mulling and load calls to add a few more for deploying, retrieving the srv/fighters as well as a switch button between ship/srv.

On short you will most likely need buttons, lots of buttons, and maybe just maybe less macro's.
