Your "senior" moment(s)?

Postby Tord Hoppe » Mon Nov 17, 2014 4:10 pm

Thought I´d get the ball rolling for some laughs.

When running a trade route between A and C jumping via B I was very confused when I all of a sudden would sell my goods at a loss. I wondered how the heck the prices could have gone down so dramatically and decided to go back to where I bought and off-load there for a hopefully smaller loss and then look for a new trade route. I jump out to "C" and onwards and suddenly find that I´ll now sell the stuff with a good profit. Finally the ball drops and I realise that I obviously jumped from A to C and back to A initially. Doh! Would have been an even more senior moment if I´d actually had sold the stuff at A (thinking I was at C) instead of deciding to go back to what I thought was the place I had bought the stuff. Too old, too late. :D

Lessons learned: know where you are, write down the end points and what goods should be sold/bought at each place, drink more Kilkenny (always true).

Maybe its the Kilkenny and not the 'senior' aspect.

Not a good thing to have done. I'm always having senior moments - in game and out. Its the whole putting your pants on back to front thing. I suggest putting on a pair of swimming goggles and tying an elastic band around your face and mouth, then grin like a Cheshire cat.

Don't forget the bobbly hat.

Can hardly bring myself to say it.

Considering getting a pair of slippers.

They look 'comfy'.

I've been wearing slippers for...well...decades. And yes...they are comfy! :-)

All the best dressed gentlemen wear slippers to fly ;)

I hit the wrong button on my joystick last night and instead of bringing out my weapons, I killed my shields and went silent running. Got rather a large repair bill after that as I got ripped by a pirate.

I have more pairs of slippers than pairs of shoes.

I even have my own slippers at the in-laws house.

I'm glad that's cleared up then.
