Excellent as always, Loriath. And as always, I can't wait for the rest. :)

Couple of notes:

And now, I was out in the deep black in my ship with a Ship’s A.I. to keep me company.

I was almost finished when my commlink (bipped?). I answered it. “Yes?”

The crew will have your (cargo?) loaded in a few minutes Commander.”

Thanks again.

Cmdr Loriaths' Logs | Alone

Loved it, despite your headache, you gave a nice humoristic touch to the story with the "Kitty Litter " comments. I couldn't help myself and laughed while reading it.

Although it is not an "action" chapter, it read smoothly to the end.

It kind of made me anxious about the vacation trip they were planning, I can not explain why. :?:

I liked "Station keeping" too, but it felt more like an introduction of things about to come, while keeping the interest up with the Fed involvement in the plot.

Thanks I appreciate the comments. Yeah I have to admit with the migraine that I didn't take it to the next chapter and instead broke it up.

The Kitty Litter just came to me as the Radio Sidewinder ad for Kitten Brand Coffee came on. :)

You never know with those Feds. Sneaky little buggers always hiding something, like exploding Presidential Starships and such. *Grin*

Great stuff!

Scooping fuel is very much like making love to a beautiful woman. First check the target is hot enough,
then approach slowly. Once close enough, pull out your scoop and fill her up. After you're done just
gently pull away, turn around and leave.
