A 1080ti should be more than ok.

I might have dial back on a few settings perhaps and I don't expect to running max FOV.

Besides the 2080ti is from what I gather not much more than maybe 30% better.

So I'm intending to wait a cycle.
But I said that last time too...

Oh well good points and waiting a cycle is worth it. For now I am going to wait. Not sure if the RTZ will fit looks like it would snuggle up tight to a drive controller or I may be thinking about the other PC. Looking forward to getting in it not that I need another push to play Elite. :) I did get 10% off hehe.

Visiting Vancouver yesterday after my appointment I checked out Newegg PC store. Sitting there were various VR Headsets the usual suspects and two Pimax 4k and the 5K+ all display devices, Aircar and Edge of Nowhere were available to the Pimax 5k+ - wow the clarity is amazing noticeable for me because I being playing Edge of Nowhere for a few months. I felt like a fish in a tank without seeing the glass. Man. I want to playing it with E:D now. 2 weeks it should be here. :)

Good for you.

I got my replacement tracking number a week ago. But so far no package has been handed to the courier.

No fucking clue what they are doing over there.

In my experience Pimax still has the problem where they behave like a 15 year old after you ask him if his book reports and physics homework is done.

And lies to your face.

Yeah sounds correct. I wrote to them after 4 orders confirmations that suggested third week Feb. here to BC from the USA but their reply email suggested that they were closed for the Chinese New Year WTF - Newegg saidf I could have received it from them sooner because they buy direct ship it to central Canada (Toronto) oh well what the fuck just get it to me. Apparently Newegg. Future World and Best Buy are selling a lot of VR stuff, Rift, VIVE Pro and Pimax. Must have been 5 VR sells (VIVE) when I was at the store playing. Oh well it will get here.

I'm sorry for your problems getting the Pimax, and I'm very looking forward to read a review!

I've still not bought the Oculus Rift, because I am anxious buying a last-gen and despite that, I don't have that much dedicated USB channels.
If I bought one of those recommended usb-pci cards, it would cover the first fan of my RTX. The downsides of a mATX board ...

The RTX has a USB3.1c port at the backpanel, and I'd rather had a VR using that connector.

Little love on my pimax front as well.

The DPD alert seemed to be premature and now they want me to return the current HMD.
Which means at minimum another month.
More likely more.

As for the VR port on the RTX that's currently future proofing. No HMD in current existence use it.

Quiet for me as well not much choice but to wait it out. Some of the graphic lines in the rift are starting to wobble especially during some planet landings - it does have many hours of use.

oh I thought the Pimax are using that port.

Dammit, I don't want to wait anymore so long
The Rift is barely anywhere to buy here in germany.

USB, external power (12v 2 amp DC) and Display port cable.

The best way to get the rift anywhere is honestly directly from their website.
When I have ordered from them I had my Rift in less than a week, when I got the touch controllers later I had them in three days of ordering.

No extra VAT charges or anything even though Norway is not in the EU, but in the EEA we have some weird circumstances.
