Re: Logitech X52 Pro MFD display utility release

I tried running

Code: Select all

EDx52display.exe --input mfd.json
and it had the same result. I see the cargo page, which displays the proper contents of my cargo hold, but the MFD scroll wheels have no effect.

I also looked through the software for the HOTAS itself in case I screwed something up on installation, but the MFD buttons aren't even present in the programming software.

Right now, I am looking in MFD.json, and it does appear to be updating based on my location. That information just isn't making it's way to the MFD.

Hello Commanders.

While I still haven't been able to do anything about the issues on Windows 10, I did discover a bug that caused my tool to crash in Shinrarta Dezra. There is a fix available now: https://github.com/peterbn/EDx52display ... tag/v1.1.1

Made an account to say this is a great idea and I'd like it to work so badly, but perhaps my issue isn't something you can help with. I have the cmd window running and I have one page displayed on my screen, the cargo page. The trouble is the x52 wheels do not scroll through your pages and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. I have the windows properties tool open in the background, as well as the logitech software itself. your command is running. the driver exe didn't seem to do anything, but not sure if it is meant to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Thank you for the feedback. There's definitely been some increased interest in the tool as of late, if bug reports are anything to go by.
I am super excited to see people use the tool I built.

If anyone has had any issues in the past and want to give it another go, please ensure that you have the Logitech driver installed and try the latest release: https://github.com/peterbn/EDx52display ... tag/v1.3.1

It might also work with the Saitek drivers, but that hasn't been tested by me.

Still a great utility, Cmdr pakkenberg. Thank you for bringing us this!

Noticed the following error with the utility since the latest Odyssey patch 5 dropped on Thursday, and wondered if the patch could have caused any problems with the MFD utility?

Any thoughts?

Hi Voodoo,

Yes, I think that's very likely - this appears to be the same as reported in https://github.com/peterbn/EDx52display/issues/10.

If you wouldn't mind zipping up your journals folder and attaching it to that bug report, I can have a look at it. I haven't upgraded to Odyssey myself, so I can't reproduce without a journals folder :(

Hi Hexawar,

I'm not exactly sure why you cannot change mode. Can you try to run the program with the `--log debug` command line parameter, and if that shows anything, file a bug on github here: https://github.com/peterbn/EDx52display/issues/new

As for the strings, I unfortunately only have the English strings. If you want to, you can translate it yourself, by editing the values in the "name" column in the "commodity.csv" and "rare_commodity.csv" files located in the "names" folder in the install directory.
