Hah........
And people think ED has a steep learning curve.......
That's why I always laughed at that statement..........
Try the cold start in an A10-C.........
From memory........
I have never thought of ED as a difficult game.
Certainly not learning wise.
Only thing slightly new for some would be the 6dof.
But descent took care of knocking that into me, seriously how awesome was that game?

That was my first joystick game as well.
Mapped buttons to go forwards and back.
Pitch and yaw, roll was inadvertently put on twist, and the pov hat for thrusters.
Game was awesome.
Like a 6dof full 3d unlike most games for another eight years and blasting through mineshafts and dodging angry robots. Goal was to find and blow up the reactor and then escape.
Well after failing to get both DCS and x-plane working, I don't mean can't figure it out, I mean shit be broken, hard to finish a tutorial when you can't get any control interfaces to work and the software freeze up every six minutes.
I went back into pcars, Le Mans is coming up after all and I have got a bit of a bug about it.
Ordered the Steve McQueen movie. And eagerly awaiting the DLC (with the 1970 version of the track, no chicanes on the Mulsanne straight)
So spent an hour or two today and yesterday throwing the caterham with various tires around the French country side.
Also tried the mustang fastback.
With street tires
Nearly uncontrollable wheelspin in first, second, and most of third gear.
Took me 20 minutes to do two laps, and thats when I need to put for new tires.
Only wish I could smell the rubber...
