This morning E:D Oculus Rift graphics appearance is like some sort of mirage effecting Stations, other ships more like heat rising off payment during a hot summers day. I know there was a Windows side update but that had nothing to do with Graphics, anyone know why this mirage like effect is appearing?

Got hit with this update last night as well, kind of like having ASW engaging but also sort of failing at smoothing things out.

I have decreased a few settings and that seemed to help.
Only with ED, Project cars is still good.

What do you mean "Project Cars?/ I'm currently by-passing OC-Debug and using in game defaults VR setting sort of a Vanilla setting and it is not bad.

After some time i noticed some shit happening on my side too.
On occasion, i will have dramatic framerate losses, like 20 - 25 fps mainly when arriving at stations or when dropping near a star. It could look like loading time but when i arrive in a busy instance, it loads for a second, two at worst. here i once stayed like 5 minutes in front of a station with my framerate going bonkers between 140 and 20 fps
Tried on single screen, fullscreen or borderless, it still happens sometimes and i can't pinpoint what causes it.
Looking at the GPU and CPU usagen CPU is normal, below 30% con, stantly, and GPU drops around 20% sometimes before climbing back up at 100 as it should be.

It looks like some bonker driver, or another windows problem like we had when Creators update came by, and Nvidia had to rework some shit to make it work properly...

Nothing rendering the game unplayable, but still plenty annoying.

Well they are both just video games.

And I needed to spend about 300 on a wheel/pedal set with wheel stand to be able to.
If you turn the assists of a car it becomes absolutely impossible to play with just a controller.

So need to get into Project Cars VR

I really need to get into Project Cars VR with my Oculus Rift, since I have the Thrustmaster Wireless GT Cockpit. Picked it up for around US$130 at a CompUSA going out of business in Delaware around 2010 or so.

Had this double vision issue tonight as well, so decided to delete Elite entirely and re-install.
And this actually seems to have sorted it.

Had a session of a couple of fetch quests for Palin and no issue so far.
