Looks like no money back......

Place I bought it from have just referred me to BenQ as it's under manufacturers warranty......

Lodged a support ticket with them and now waiting for reply......

And in typical fashion the only box the Mrs threw out was this one.....As it was big and "In the way"......

Fuck knows how I'm gonna package it up if they want it sent back......

It's kin mahooosive.......

Think (think) you will find that it is the role of the retailer to replace if the goods sold are not fit for purpose.

You bought is not very long ago I suggest the box does not matter, have a read up mate.

They often start the rma process for larger equipment isbto ship you a new box.
But I don't know that's how benq will do it in this case. But I think it is the most likely solution.

Or they might have a deal with a more local business that handles basic repairs, and one of their guys will pick it up.

You have seen my captures.

It seems to be handled differently from game to game, And ED for instance seem to only bother grabbing a 16:9 crop from the left rift eye, to make it even worse they make the crop from the very bottom left of the rendered image. So even if you look straight ahead for you, the capture is mostly taken off the sensor screen and your virtual feet, and skewed to the left.

End result is capture from a VR enabled player is utterly worthless.

Soooo whilst I can't play I have been trying to figure out why games/rift are not fully utilising my rig....

It came to a head when I downloaded DCS world....Just to try it in VR......

Out of VR it was dropping frames even when it was only using 3% of the GPU and CPU.......

Mucho searching later.....Downloaded sthg called Nvidia Inspector.....

https://www.techspot.com/downloads/5077 ... ector.html

Good video here.......4 years old...But gives you the basics.....

https://youtu.be/syE55-jEzb8

Anyway done that and GPU and CPU usage jumped right up to what I would sorta expect......Still not maxing it but far better....

Side story....

Wife hates me spending the money I did...Been trying to get her to see what I'm on about.....

Sooooo.......DCS in an SU25...Pause game and plead with her to take a look.....

She does......

I sit her in seat...Put rift on and she goes......Jesuuuuuuuuuuuussssssssss........ (I have smirk on face)

First thing she does is reach for the ingame joystick and knock my beer over.......Go figure.....

I grab hold of her hands and place them on the throttle and joystick.......

Then resume the game.......

Fine for about 30 secs......I'm telling her small movements......

She then goes into a dive and shits herself......Screaming I'm gonna crash and rips the rift off.....

I have tears in my eyes.......Made my day.......

Thanks for sharing. Will give it a try.

Yeah, I gotta play more DCS too. Just can't get much gametime in, so I'm in Elite when I can. Must ... get ... back to ... Colonia!
