Keyboard and Trackball

Postby amenditman » Thu Feb 23, 2017 8:18 am

I am playing with keyboard and a Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman T-RB22. That's the big one with the ball under your middle fingers.

I used the forums main page search for "trackball" and got ZERO hits.
Am I the only one using a trackball? Can't be.

Let me know if you are using similar hardware, soooo lonely!

Hi! I use a trackball too. An ELECOM one (quite similiar to the Logitehc M570, though with a couple more buttons), coupled with a Logitech G13. I use Yaw and Pitch on it, but I've not yet decided on the best setup. I played by more than an year just with my keyboard - and numeric keypad - and I was very good at that. I'm still re-learnign to flight, but by now I'm loving the effect i can achieve with it, using no relative mouse at all. I can trace large arcs in supercruise and lots of funny maneuvers during combat.
It work better than mouse to me, as it let my hand and forearm in a more relaxed position...
