I'm just guessing but I figured Andromeda uses the Unreal engine, and that should work well cross platform and scale very well.

As for huge day 1 patches it's the order of the day now.
Heck, even if you buy the physical box copy, all there is inside is an unlock code for Origin.

Really torn now.......

Gaming not as good as expected....But would still be better than what I have got (i5-2500K).....

Content creation however it would be great......

I have canceled mine as mentioned, and I'm not building a kaby lake either.
I'm just in holding pattern.

I did however find a demo labeled i7 4690k that should replace my i5 4670k.
It means someone might have used it either in some display setup, returned after very light use or something like that.
Anyhoo it's £100 off sticker and all regular store guarantees etc are valid and they wouldn't sell it unless it was working fine.
It's not like I would be using my stock cooler anyways.

As for ryzen, it seems even the 1800x is behind the i7 7700 in most cases I care for, and the i7 7700 lags less behind in the few cases where I would do rendering.
