That circular plastic piece that is under the spring, people have used chapstick with success. One person tried silicon lube and apparently that made it worse. Another option for us, is cutting to size a microfiber cloth used for cleaning glasses and placing that under the circlular piece. I havn't tried this yet as I've been busy with replacing a fuel pump but I do plan on doing this soon.

Update and confirmation. I applied a small amount of chapstick on the circular plastic ring and it stopped the squeaking.

No Chapstick in the house and I don't think medicated Carmex would be good so I did a thin layer of dielectric grease and problem solved.

Call me lazy then (and as you know) Voice attack is my copilot and allows me to do a lot more, a lot faster than if I did it with just buttons. Besides, I enjoy Verity's voice. Except when the reacts when I take a breath or any kind of pause before a command in a regular sentence.

Just had to train my wife not to repeat my commands when I am playing. When I first got it, she heard me talking to the game, and jokingly repeated my command. Voice Attack dutifully did what she said, and I was boosted into the side of the station causing a loss of credits and a long conversation about my commands. :P

My wife would have a field day with that...she has quite the sense of humor!

I just got a 56 and it has an... interesting err... feature...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAug-bvPtq8

I am also experiencing random triggers, which is not something I've ever seen reported. Which is generally OK, as long as it's not silent running in the middle of fracking combat!

Nah, It's never OK, but it's liveable for the moment.

In other news, the mini sticks are grand, but the tight throttle problem has returned, worse than it was on the X-55 - although that should clear up as noted elsewhere.

The biggest change is getting used to not having secondary fire under your thumb. I tried having it on the top buttom (amongst the hats) but even with big hands it's not that comfy, so have it on the pinky button (not the trigger) currently - this is also awkward though, and the pinky button wasn't that robust on the 55. May try moving it back.a

I'm fairly certain it's a return job though. :'(
