New Keyboard(s) for ED.

I am treating myself to a couple of new Keyboards.

One is a Skiller Pro from Sharkoon as I want a wired keyboard and the pretty Blue Lights won me over. Nothing fancy, just Blue Lights, a few programmable keys, and USB.

And since there is an issue with any version of the Saitek software and Team speak above Version 3.0.12 and they have forced me to update because of a security vulnerability that made everyone update their TS servers for, I am need a way to use PTT with TS and now can't. To solve this I am also springing for a Logitech G13 Game Keyboard. Will also supplement other things in ED.

I have opted for Corsair, I will never go back again...

^This is 100% customization and has the extra macro keys if you like it.

^Same one without the extra macro keys.

Well the issue is the G13 is what I am really wanting so I can fix the TS issue. The other one is just a little Candy since it is only 40 Swiss Francs. My old North American Wireless logitech is eating 2 batteries in 4 days so its cheaper to replace it. Had it 7 years now so its seen better days.

The corsair is nice, but too expensive for my wallet ;)

I solved the 'interference' problem between TS & Saitek software after a little research. The downside is that you cannot bind PTT to a joystick key, but IDGAF coz I have a good voice-activation mike & don't use VoiceAttack.

All you have to do is , in TS, go into Settings/Options, click on 'HotKeys' then change the drop-down in the bottom right corner, just above 'Apply' to 'Mouse & Keyboard Only' from 'Default'.

Apparently, it's to do with the way TS 'scans' all available inputs in 'default' that upsets the Saitek software so much.

Good luck with the new toys :D

Looking at the specs of the Corsair, I have a question about its dimensions, 502mm x 163mm x 24mm. Is 163mm with or without the wrist rest?

i have the corsair K70, but I went for the MX Brown, because using voice comms with someone using MX Reds is really really annoying. The textured WASD keys is really useful when using a VR headset.
