Can't Make Screenshots

Hey Commanders,
For some reason, pressing F10 or ALT+F10 doesn't work on my machine.
I read that screenshots were supposed to be saved in [userName]\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Screenshots but this folder was not created by ED and even though I created it by hand, nothing keeps happening when I press the hot keys.
I also tried to assign ALT+F10 to a button of the X-55 and again, even though it all looks OK from the Saitek software, nothing happens when I use that button.
I'm running Window 7 pro and the only things that might be unorthodox with my install are that ED is not in C:\Program Files but in E:\Applications and my keyboard and mouse go through a KVM switch (which is why I tried with a button on the directly connected X-55).
Would you guys have any idea on what I'm missing?
