Surround sound on stereo headphones

I've been considering for a while buying surround sound headphones for ED. But by chance on the main forums a poster mentioned this software.
http://www.razerzone.com/gb-en/surroundI honestly did not think it would work, but how wrong I was and it has increased immersion ten fold. I used the free version for a bit, but for the extra refinement I paid the £11 for the upgrade.
If you are thinking of buying surround sound headphones, give this software a try it might save you a bit of money in the long run.

I thought the free version was excellent until I went Pro, paying the money made the sound experience better than before. If you can afford the upgrade it's worth it, but there is nothing wrong with the free version also.

Not tried it in-game yet but the demo sounded great so have downloaded and will give it a try tonight.

Tried it but for me it made no difference. I run the Plantronics GameCom 780 which has Dolby already so I think that's as good as I'm going to get

Just tried it on my G430 7.1 headset, sounds great. Thks for info.
Might go for the pro stuff after trials on different things.

I wonder if maybe I just don't have the hearing for picking up the nuances of the difference in sound? So, anyone else with the same headset as me, please try for yourselves!
