Avoid minimizing the game when switching to another screen

Postby Igramul » Mon Feb 14, 2022 9:06 pm

Hi y'all,

I am playing the PC version of Elite Dangerous Horizon. My system has two screens.
Is there a way to use, e.g., a browser to check EDDB or this forum while docked or in supercruise mode?
The only way I found is hitting the "windows" key. However, that minimizes the game.

Any ideas? Is there some kind of "release mouse curser" function?

Thanks,
Igramul

Have you tried to set the E:D game to Borderless instead of Fullscreen?
Under OPTIONS / +DISPLAY

Borderless helped me a lot, it's not perfect, I still have to CTRL-Escape when on foot to get out of the game because the mouse has look-view and the cursor will not exit the window. Sadly CTRL-Escape also puts my win8 into stupid metro-desktop which means I have to click back in the game, but at least doesn't re-focus the mouse into the game so I can move over to my other monitor.

There's *probably* a better way out than CTRL-Escape, maybe Alt-Tab... but I am kind of easily pleased so I never looked any further into it...
