Ship Boosting at will

Here's the problem and only when flying the Python, it auto-boost at will no user action required. The fix is drop gear before entering mail-slot or near Outpost. I changed the button assignment on the HOTAS receiving the same result - again Python only. So guessing some USB is sending a boot signal?

Using an X-55 by any chance? It sounds like ghosting (phantom inputs) which occurs when the HOTAS isn't receiving enough power. Not only can it boost at the wrong time, I've had mine turn on silent running or drop landing gear in the middle of fights!

The usual solution is to try using different USB ports (some report that USB 3.0 is better, some report it as worse), or use a powered USB hub.

Using the HOTAS WARTHOG , did a bunch of swapping USB ports still occurring then put it back the way I had it including the boost binding just have to remember drop the gear. Thanks for the feedback.

Get a powered hub.

If still goes off randomly there is something wrong like a crossed wire.

Have a couple powered hubs - did the swapping dance but it continues . There are 9 USB hanging of the PC not all Blue. But why now? The PC Case has not been open since first week March (18)

Is the python the biggest ship you fly by any chance?

I don't see why ED would make any difference in how your HOTAS communicates with the PC, but maybe it's a problem that gets started when you push your stick to some extreme positions (since the Python is not exactly nimble, this could be that)

I fly the Cutter, and your correct it should not make any difference with the Python. Thanks

Do you by any chance have voiceattack ?

Just checking cause if calibration or some commands get a little obtuse they can trigger from a tiniest disturbance to the Mic.

Just breathing a certain way, or bumping into the mic could trigger some commands for me.

Ok getting somewhere, yes I have voiceattack small number of commands in use - power management, things that drop down, cool down (sinks).
fire bank (SCB). Ok off to disable VA

Well if you don't have the boost command on VA then it can't be the culprit.
