There is no need to self-destruct, only to slap the in-game route planner around a bit with a large wet thargoid. Basically, you are attempting a jump of 222 LY in a ship with a base range of 30.68 LY. With a neutron boost, that 30.68 LY turns into 122.72 LY, and that is not enough to reach your target with a single jump. What you need is a route with one large neutron-boosted jump at the start, followed by some smaller jumps.
Unfortunately, the in-game route planner is too limited for this, so you need to lease him some brains. Go to the Galmap route tab where you can select economic/fastest/boosted route. Switch from boosted to fastest route again, and the game should now be able to plot you a jump route to your target using 30.68 LY baby steps. Now scroll/move along the route and for each way-point chosen by the in-game plotter, check you far away it is from you. You want the way-point that is furthest away while still being within your 122.72 LY range. Once you have found it, select this way-point as target, return from the galmap, and jump.
And I highly recommend using
http://www.spansh.co.uk instead of a static list, as it will pick neutron stars based on your range. Enter start system, destination system, your range, use an efficiency of 70-80, and enjoy.
