Looks like I've been gone too long

Yes, that's right... I haven't played for awhile. If I wasn't really confused on playing before, I definitely am now. I get the basic concept, but wow. The new patch/es have left me clueless. My ship is terrible. I have no money to get anything bigger/better. Even if I did, I have no ranking to do so.

So what ship do you have? How much money? What do you like doing? When was the last time you played?
There have been plenty of changes yes, but the basic game is the same, I'm sure if you have some specific questions then we can help

Well I'd be inclined to hit up some Nav beacons, or maybe a RES and do some bounty hunting, or perhaps get a Cobra and do some missions/trading.

I can relate, for sure. Although I came back to a bit more CR than that, but yeah. Engineers! Planetary landing! Power play! OMG, what do I do when?! I get it. LOL.

Rank comes with time, I mainly focused on my credits and before I know it I was ranking up.

I'm pretty much doing things at random. But mostly, Bounty hunting. I'll do a mission here and there. I'll do the donation missions too. I thought I was doing something wrong. I don't think my ranking has went up at all. Only thing that changes, is relationships in a system

Which rank are we speaking of, some work differently (i.e. Fed/Imperial vs Combat/Trade)?
