Both interesting and lucrative exploration route?

I am currently trying to earn some reputation with the FSD engineer at Khun. To achieve higher then level 3, I woudl like to "pay" her with cartographic data.
I planned a route to a Neutron Star/Black Hole system, yet I wonder if anyone can suggest an especially dramatic system or route that in around 2k lj from Khun (so, not too far from the Bubble)? Dramatic stars or skies ...
Also, the route should yield valuable cartographic data on scans so that the reputation can go up.
Any idea how much data are needed to achieve Level 5 access?
Thanks!

I really think the best suggestion is: Find your own route. Exploration shouldn't be "take this route to this system to see this". That's not exploration, that's sightseeing.
Use your map filters, find something you like, fly to it, and enjoy the journey. Plenty of Nebulae within 5,000LY. You need that 5,000LY thing for the other engineer anyway.

I think you need to submit something like 1.6mill in data just to get from 4 to 5

Sightseeing is fine with me. I am a hardcore Rat. When I am not Ratting, I am sort of on vacation.
And there are areas that are more interesting and those which are mostly black. I assume the more dramatic ones are located to the core? I had been in Horsehead and some others quite some time ago (and I will visit Crab Nebulas pulsar in a time to come) and they were more or less basic dark skies, therefore I ask.
Also, I am not in hardcore exploring right now, but want to get my ships Rat-ready again as soon as possible, yet in an interesting manner. And exploring (call it what you want) seems more interesting to me than harvesting materials.

I would recommend NGC 7822, it's a nebula full of giant white stars, many of which have black holes.
Went there recently, one of the most interesting areas I have been to

Wow. That's the advice I was looking for. Thanks a bunch!

The Blackhole in Maia 2B is really cool to see, and it's not a far jaunt out to the new areas of activity. It has bases to dock at as well. If you base out of Maia, you can do some Nebula trips from there, since it's sort-of sitting in a nebula itself. Witchhead was also really interesting.
EDSM is a really good tool for finding routes others have used to popular and unknown destinations.

I suggest the "blue field" around here: dryaa flyoo ar-t d4-910
White dwarfs, neutron stars and black holes
