FSD and SC

I'm slightly confused by the options under the control key bindings menu for the above.

Have they added some more options for 3.9?

There is an 'enable frame shift drive'

and 'FSD to super cruise'

and also 'FED to hyperspace jump'

The descriptions in the right hand column are the same for all three :?:

I've always just had one button mapped to drive charging on and off, so not sure if this is correct :?:

My tooltips seems correct in settings. In short:
- enable FSD key: it works like in previous beta, it starts SC or jump, depending on the target
- FSD to SC key: it starts only supercruise
- FSD to jump key: it starts only hyperspace jump (when possible)

(I personally mapped just first one to "J" as usual and left other two empty.)

There are three options, now:

- 1 key/btn for both
- 1 key/btn for hyperspace
- 1 key/btn for SC

On my machine, by default the button I used in b2 was used for SC and no button was assigned for hyperspace. I assigned that button to the first option, and it's now like it was in b2.

The description changes, BTW, but it seems to get stuck, sometimes.

Edit: damn, ninja'd. :)

Thanks for the replies.

I think I will just go back to having the one button to "charge" as before.

Don't know why it got changed for 3.9, as everything else was as before.

It used to be on separate controls, and apparently people complained when they changed it to the common one.

The advantage I see to have them separate (although I didn't test to see if it works) would be that you could enter SC without having to deselect your hyperspace target first, for example if you cannot jump because it's behind a planet.

i can confirm this works as i've mapped hyperspace to a shifted button on my xbox controller, to get into FS i just press B but to activate HS i have to press the throttle up button and B. it works well but i do wish they would change the voice over for HS to say 'hyperdrive charging' instead of 'Frame shift drive charging' just so you are given SOME feedback on what you activated.
