Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

I've got 27 uncliamed bounties in my transaction tab. Does not bothering to go and claim them impact my combat rank?
Or is it just money?

Bloody good question that.....

I had not thought about that before....I have a few unclaimed as well.....

I remember when I was ranking up in combat I hit elite after a kill, not after handing the bonds in, so by that logic I'd say only money,

That's a relief. Less to worry about going into combat and risking my ship then. Thanks.
