Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Okay so I go the groups, and it says invite from Mobius and whether I want to accept or decline. I accept and I can see all the people in the group but if I back out, or exit it acts like I never accepted the group invite and I can't join group play.

Yah it did the same thing to me. Give it 24 hours and see if it is still happening. It fixed itself for me after a night passed.

I am also under the impression, E:D does not keep the grouping and friends information synchronously or is using some eventually consistant technology. Meaning it takes time for the information to propagate to the game-server to which you are connected to let you join the group online.

it should be almost instantaneous, I mean it is a beta after all. That means most of the game should be fleshed out, and we should only have to be testing a few things out and bug hunting.

Yes, so possibly the joining of groups needs debugging.
Have you ticketed it?

Personally I suspect it is a different problem. As when I tried to join the group I got the invite almost immediately. It's possible Mobius was online and did respond that quickly but it made me wonder. Unless the group can be set to open and then invites still have to be sent out?

I wonder if perhaps the invite to join is a lie, and the request to join hasn't been approved yet, and thus why you can't actually join the group instance. That the gave showing you that you received an invite is the actual bug, the it shows that prematurely before the group owner has had a chance to respond to your request to join.
