Does in-game friendships and grouping improve instancing and stability in general?

Fly safe.

Private groups like ours do for sure. Read a lot of comments that it does so very much.
It forces you on the same instancing server. Friends list only doesn't.
So I would not expect being friends changes anything as far as connection is concerned.
