Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

First tried bounty hunting at nav points tonight with my brand new Eagle (8th day of playing).

It went fine (bagged some 35K Cr) until one stupid clean pilot had the idea of flying between me and the guy I was shooting at. So I got a 200 Cr bounty on my head by the Federation and other stupid guys started chasing me for this huge bounty ! I ran away...

Docked at the station controlled by the faction who gave the bounty on me thinking I could pay it.
In the Pilot Federation screen under "Pay bounties" was "no crime reported" in red.

Flew back to my base and stored the Eagle to pick up the Hauler, still had the bounty on my head and the "Wanted" in red whenever I entered a Federation controlled space. At each stop in a Federation system tried to pay the bounty but no chance (same as above)

In the end, back from my trade run at my base, I made " Save and Exit", then reconnected : no more "Wanted" in my Reputation screen....

Can someone help me understand how the thing works, the manual is short on the matter... Thks.

Edit : After reading on the official forum, it seems this is a bug which appeared with 1.07, other people have the same experience...

Had the exact same thing happen tonight. Had to leave and reconnect to clear the "Wanted" status, no way to pay the bounty. (says "No criminal record" )

Yeah, I accidentally shot a clean player yesterday. I was unable to pay off the bounty or clear my wanted status until I logged off. I don't know if the bounty was ever paid automatically somehow. Anyway, glad to know this is a new bug because it was really frustrating for a while.

Seems to be repaired, I could pay my 230 Cr fine tonight for accidentally hitting a Fed ship during a furball.
