Now that I read this, I have no idea how I got out of the sidewinder without any help or guidance :/

I... I feel as if I did so many things wrong. Well, good thing I'm not in a sidewinder anymore, clearly did something correct.

Ha, that's like reading the instruction manual before assemblage.
Part of the beauty of this game for me was the: "O.K. don't do that again." method of learning. [e.g. thrusters inside the station..etc..]
But very handy reference link for those who are a little less adventurous, thnx for sharing.
