I recently purchased an Asp Explorer with an additional crew seat. However, when I try to hire a crew member the "Active" screen tells me "SHIP NOT COMPATIBLE". Need some advice, can't seem to get any suitable answers from my own research.

The npc crew hire function is only for the launched fighters, and nothing else, the Asp has no SLF bay.
The extra crew seat is available for a multicrew session, but is anyone really using that ?
As a crewman you can pretty much only use the fighters if available, various scanners, turrets or missile launchers, that's it.
If you where to crew on my corvette for example your only job would be to fly the fighter, use the kw scanner or deploy heat sinks, and if you waste my sinks I'd kick you.

That's probably why the only references I could find had to do with crewing the fighter. Thanks for taking time to reply!
