Station influence

I do not pretend to know anything about how this works. I have just logged off ED after finishing a mission for oom when I was reading that our influence is down to 24%, and another faction is at 23%. Does this mean we could loss control of the station? If so does this happen often, or am I reading things all wrong.

Hi, which station in which system? The Order is present in a number of systems without actually controlling them, or indeed owning any assets.

The home station in Azrael, who's exact name escapes me just at the moment

Rafferty's Mobius?

If so that is very worrying, if the influences align (or the other side overtake the Order) then a Civil War will happen, if the Order was to then loose the Civil War then yes, the station and control of the system could be lost.

The game is upgrading, as soon as it's finished I'll take a look.

Thanks for flagging this, it is most concerning

You are right, this is a very serious situation for the Order

Since the OoM is the controlling faction any other faction would have to reach 60% to initiate a war. the MCRN has been down to the low teens in home influence without risking losing the control of Mobia. (That was when the evil BGS started two consecutive wars in another system without any pending war state ahead)
Still, in a large population system like Azrael it's always a good idea to keep a stable influence level. It's a lot of work to turn things around.
Also, as long as the OoM is at war in Exioce (I think it is) it's pointless to waste time on home influence, as you have to do four times as much work as when the OoM is booming. All effort has to be put into winning the war fast. Home influence can be fixed after the war is over.

Don't forget to pick up every single +++ influence mission you see for the OoM in Exioce. They help a lot during a war.

While not being new to ED, I am new to how this works and new to devoting my time to an cause. However I will jump in a suitable ship and go to Exioce. Just keep pointing me in the right direction :)
