Arissa Duval Help

Good Evening Fellow Commanders,
I have been playing the game for quite some time, but I am just recently joining others in the game. I decided to pledge my allegiance to Arissa Duval for the Power Play, because she fits my playstyle of Bounty Hunting, and I like the Empire. With that said I jumped to the nearest expansion of this PP cycle and jumped right into crime sweeps with my vulture. It has been fun, and challenging, but after losing an hours worth of work because the reinforcements came in the form of multiple pythons I am here looking for help. I have read that earning merits and such becomes a lot easier with wings, and so this is my request for some help earning merits and some fun combat with a wing. My Commander tag is Ravenhawker, and I can be found flying around Arissa Duval's territories looking for crime sweeps and bounties.
