Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Attention ALD supporters:

Hudson is attempting to expand into our backyard in the Adan system! (only 34 ly from Azrael)

Grab your combat ship and head to Adan to fight the expansion!

You can help defeat Hudson either by undermining ships in SC or entering a Security Operation (CZ type combat) and fighting for the "opposition forces".

Undermining will bring you 30 merits per kill, and the Security Operations yields 10 merits per kill. Wing up for faster merits.

Stop Hudson from getting into our backyard!

Would this work when im supporting Patreus? I would love to get some wing action again

Yup, as long as your power is anti-Hudson, this expansion is a good one to oppose. If for no the reason than it's close to Azrael.

If I am with Aisling Duval, would I earn PP merits here?

edit 2 : yes I do earn merit points! 430 in the bank. I may return tomorrow evening. Couldn't find anyone to wing with though....

Yes!!

As long as your power is not allied with Hudson, you will earn merits doing undermining or working for the 'opposing forces' in the Security Operation. Anyone allied with an Empire or Independent power can work against Hudson in this expansion system and gain merits.

When is the best time to wing up?

Adan is next door to me (HIP 20277) so I went to a Security Operation there and did my bit. It's a bit mad that killing a Deadly Corvette gives you the same 10 merits as killing a Competent Eagle. One tends to pick off the easier small fry.

I would recommend getting on TS looking for others interested in merit grinding. Also, check your galaxy map for green dots that are in the area (or even better, in Adan) and send them a chat message to see if they want to wing.

I feel ya, Phillipus. I did some undermining today in Adan but the targets were few and far between so I dropped into the S.O.. Mostly low level targets which is okay.... fast and easy kills. I took out one "master" Vette and I agree that it's frustrating that it gains you the same 10 merits as an eagle. I usually avoid the big ships when in a Crime Sweep or Security Operation unless they send me a laser invitation to meet. A C.S / S.O. is a blast in a wing of 3 or 4 though. Since you each get 10 merits per kill, your team can rack up some serious merits VERY fast.

Went back to Adan to kill a few more Feds in a Security Operation (SO), this time in the Cutter. It turns out that the Cutter is a perfect ship for a SO or a Combat Zone. Its speed and tankiness allow it to fulfil its "boom and zoom" role perfectly.
