I say... go for the Python! You have way more than enough coin to do it! Here's my combat Python build at $166mil.

I keep a small cargo rack for BB smuggling missions. I just added a Turret beam to the belly a few days ago, and it's working well so far for those pesky small ships.

Macklroy... if you decide to go for the Python, be sure to get it and the modules at a discount station.

Wellwellwell ... the Crime Sweeps seem to have vanished from HIP 35246 as well .. annoying that this happens more or less on a daily basis. Just chasing zones ...
Any suggestions in the vicinity?

Crime sweep locations will only be present during expansion phases. Unfortunately, we don't have any this week. For opposition systems (same format as crime sweeps, but we're opposing the expansion), check thereddit page here.

I spent about 75 minutes in the Resistance Pocket there this morning, and got my credits for the week. Sorry Uvelius, but I won't be there later today.

With the changes in 1.4, I highly recommend taking out the Asp's first. Their combination of rail guns and cannons were very detrimental to my Python's health and well being.

Love station is mere seconds from the RP, which is great!

I've been fighting in high value CZ's in Xinca earning that PP bonus money. I think I'll work on my merits today though.

A new cycle has just started. First question: Are the Crime Sweeps back again? Where do you hunt for merits?
I would like to focus on meriting, but preferably in Wings (especially interesting since you don't loose merits due to winging up, contrary to with bounties/bonds).
So who is with me, not too far away from our base of operations -- Azrael? I will give my python Bloody Mess an airing, this is serious business

There will be crime sweeps in ALD space this week **IF** we are expanding. If not, there will be opposition systems that we can go to that will have a combat zone for merits that is the same as a crime sweep but each power calls them something different.

I'll be around this weekend and currently plan to do my merit combat on Saturday morning around 9:00AM-12:00 noon GMT. Let me know if you want to wing up!

I just logged in to E-D for a second, and it looks like we have expansions in Tiburnat and LTT 2667. They are 85-110ly from Azrael. Just a quick few hops away in a Python.
