All depends on what you are doing and how far it will be. I use one anaconda for combat and another for passenger runs but it's fully engineered with experimental upgrades. I may buy a third and engineer for cargo but waiting to see what happens after 3.3 and possibly 4.0. All my cargo ships are stripped and unshield so my python has 292 cargo, but after years of interdictions I find them very easy to win now.

Anaconda (and the whole "Big Three") is total shit without engineering. G5 Thrusters is a must, otherwise you will suffer. Also, unengineered shields have very poor protection. Unlocking engineers is a fun activity, do not be afraid.
Type-9 can fit 720t cargo, like Imperial Cutter, but Cutter have better overall jump range and also need to be unlocked.
For 80mil you can A-class FDL, for 100mil or a bit more try Chieftain/Challenger/Crusader or Krait Mk II.
