Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

A few minutes ago a Cmdr spammed a big wall of text into Mobius at starport only to advertise his play in Open. I personally felt quite annoyed by that. That's why I talk about it here.

Bigger problem is his CMDR name..

Getting a wall of text is not something I would consider serious at the slightest.
Ever seen Jita local in eve online ?
Or any MMO ever?

If he keeps bugging you, use the in game block feature.

As for WOT that was rather polite and well put.

If you are this easily butthurt I suggest checking your chair for thumbtacks or getting off the internet entirely.

One of the reasons why I guess FDev does not allow galaxy wide chat.
Good thing about ED is that the galaxy is huge. And there is no place with a concentration of players like Jita in EvE or one of the racial cities in WoW.
You can easily block the player from spamming the text to your comms as well. If I’m not mistaken, this also makes the probability of that player being instanced with you, very low.

Well, I find the Wall Of Text instance also more funny than problematic, as long as not everyone goes bonkers with such "advertisements". The CMDR in question should realize sooner or later that "more mass" doesn't equal "more success" especially in text ads. oh and by teh way, I can only see one instance of WoT here, not more ... so why plural?

But that reminds me ... Lemme put a fresh log on that fire first ... and adjust the blanket ...
That reminds me of me who, thinking of myself as being extra smart, set a VA command to send comms text at the press of a button combination. Not much, just some specific greetings for when I am Ratting, patrolling Eravate and such, so at least no wall of text there.

Well. Nice thought. Works like a charm and all. So I hailed a Commander at the CG as usual, and suddenly I am interrupted in mid-typing, the VA greetings macro cut in, inserted itself and send itself ... I sent a "sorry about that, broken macro" to the confused (Eravate? why on earth Eravate? We are somewhere else entirely) Commander and AGAIN! the same greetings text cut in at mid-sentence. Well he laughed at least ...

This was when I checked my VA settings and found that I accidentially had bound the text macro to Shift+key instead of LeftStrg+key.

As far as I know Mobius is just for PVE, not for "I demand that you do what I want you to do".

Is the OP a troll? So he advertised an event in local chat for Open play. Did he spam that message over and over? The OP is the definition of a snowflake. Mentally balanced individuals would have just ignored the message . In fact why am I bothering to answer such a dumb post in the first place?
