Apologies

Postby Thunders » Tue Mar 13, 2018 8:01 pm

I just wanted to apologize. I was sitting at the Othime dock for much to long. I thought I was in solo mode. I will be more careful in the future. Sorry guys..

Technically, if you were there first, you have the right to park there as long as you like. Things do happen in real life and sometimes a player could be called away from the computer for something urgent.

But the fact that you are apologising here shows that you are a very considerate player that wants to get along with others. :)

Really? Who says - apart from you?

Who says otherwise?

EDIT: Just to add a bit more info:

There's no doubt that vacating a pad as soon as you've finished with it is a "nice thing to do" as it poses less inconvenience to other players and helps the CG to move along.

However, it's not an enforceable rule - no player has ever received an in-game parking fine for exceeding the time limit on a landing pad. Nor have Frontier ever stated any sort of pad blocking rule like they have with combat logging or the unlimited G5 reroll glitch. At best, it is an unwritten "social rule" that many players follow.

Of course, if somebody frequently and repeatedly blocks pads just for the lulz, then it could possibly fall afoul of Frontier's harrassment or Mobius's "don't spoil another's game" rule, but that would have to be pretty extreme case.

Regardless. solution for most busy cg's especially when pads are few.

You don't do them in a big group.
Just drop to solo and get on with your day.

Also, contrary to what a lot would think.
Entering the hangar does not free up a pad.

Hey I'm Thor -
People call me Bob.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

One of Granny's rules before there were such things as en suite bathrooms . . .

. . . or bathrooms . . .

Pee, or get off the pot.
