I am pretty sure I am right but want to double check before spending any money buying stuff from FD store.

The weapon and engine colors, when I buy those those will apply to all ships regardless of type?

The name plates, same thing, they can be used on all ships I own regardless of type of ship?

The paint jobs though are for a single type of ship, if I buy tactical paint job for cobra and then later buy a python I need to buy the paint job for the python?

Weapon colours are available for all ships, fighters and SRV's.

The engine trails for all ships and fighters.

was hoping, but figured it wasn't this way, that if you buy a paint job it applied to all ships, cuz otherwise it's just ridiculously expensive. but alas, it isn't that way and you have to buy them per ship type....no fancy paint jobs for me it seems

Well, each ship type are completely different 3d models and would require completely seperate texture mappings.

And the FD's prices are the most reasnoble I have seen, compared to others like EA or Bethesda which is at least 10x that of FD.
But there is no rush to get anything, I do quite like the weapons and engine trail colours.
Especially in wings, that's and easy way to see who's where and shooting what

The rest serves very little purpose, but why not get a few paints if you like me get sucked into the game and has a few ships you constantly return too.
Like my Corvette, I have been flying her for over two years or something now, as well as the vulture, AspX on occasion, and the Python.
